Our client is a leading supplier and manufacturer of cleaning products.
We advised on a dispute whereby the client discovered that two of its senior employees had entered into secret agreements with one of its major suppliers, receiving substantial commissions over a number of years. It also became apparent that the supplier had been over-charging our client for raw materials over those years.
We negotiated an agreement with the supplier on terms acceptable to our client whereby £1.8m was to be paid by the supplier to our client. This settlement agreement, backed by appropriate security, was closely negotiated and ultimately acceptable to our client who was very pleased with the outcome. Due to the nature of the dispute it was essential to resolve this matter with the utmost discretion.
