We acted for a partnership of general medical practitioners in the negotiation and settlement of a dispute regarding the retirement of a partner.
We guided our clients through protracted negotiations with the retiring partner who challenged both the partnership deed and his removal from the partnership, which lasted almost two years, ultimately achieving a settlement figure which was satisfactory to both parties and allowing our clients to continue to run their business.
The matter required the expertise of David Inch of our Property Team who assisted on matters regarding the partnership’s business premises. In addition, there were a number of interested parties, such as accountants, the bank and the Land Registry, with whom we also needed to liaise, and finally were successful in the completion of Settlement Deed.
