We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Agricultural Solicitor, Associate or Senior Associate to join our regional specialist Agriculture team in our Banbury office.

Job Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a friendly and approachable team at our growing and ambitious law firm. You will provide the highest quality legal expertise, insights and support to farmers, landowners, rural businesses, and high net worth individuals. Your caseload will be an interesting variety of agricultural and rural matters including:

  • Sales and purchase of agricultural farms land, woodland, and open countryside
  • Auction sales
  • Regulation, rights, and responsibilities
  • Countryside stewardship schemes
  • Country homes

You will work with our highly experienced Director, Senior Associate, Assistant and Secretary within your team in addition to working closely with our specialist in-house teams including Commercial Property, Residential Property, Corporate, Employment, Family and Private Client.

Knowledge & Skills

  • 5+ years PQE experience
  • Experience in granting and advising on tenancies, and licenses, selling and buying farms, easements is essential
  • Experience of HS2 claims is essential
  • Equestrian experience is desirable
  • An interest or background in farming, rural or equestrian is essential
