After a staff vote, Spratt Endicott Solicitors has named the Banbury Lions Defibrillator Appeal as its Charity of the Year for the 2015-16 financial year.
The Banbury Lions are raising money to install a number of life-saving defibrillator units in Banbury town centre. These units will be accessible to any member of the public, and the defibrillator will explain and show videos on how to use it. Emergency services are immediately contacted once a defibrillator is put into use, and the machine will then give instructions on how to administer CPR until an ambulance arrives. Every minute is vital in improving the survival chances if a person has a cardiac arrest, and the defibrillators ensure a rapid response that could save lives.
For more information on the Defibrillator Appeal, please visit the Banbury Lions website. We are looking forward to raising money for this extremely worthwhile appeal.
Spratt Endicott has been raising funds for a ‘Charity of the Year’ since 2002. Each year staff nominate, then vote for a local charity for whom we raise funds over the forthcoming financial year. Whilst the firm supports a number of charities, the ‘Charity of the Year’ is an opportunity for all of the staff to get involved and enjoy working together on various fundraising activities.
