Community support and engagement lies at the heart of everything we do at SE.
SE-Solicitors’ Charity of the Year
To ensure we continue to give back to our local community, each year our employees nominate a different firm charity to fundraise for throughout the year.
This year our firm charity is Nai’s House, a unique, user led suicide prevention and mental health support service for under 30s. Founded by the family of ‘Nai’ after her tragic death, it provides a safe, informal space to help others before they reach crisis point.
We are delighted to back such an excellent cause, and support all of their hard work in supporting young people seeking mental health support.
Charity Fundraising Events

At SE-Solicitors, we recognise the importance of supporting and engaging with our local charities and community. In addition to our firm charity, we participate in many different fundraising events each year.
Even beyond that done internally, we encourage employees to personally get involved, and have recently implemented a volunteer day to help them do so.

Oxford Brookes University Mentoring
We’re people first in everything we do, which is why we’re proud to be working with Oxford Brookes University supporting their students as they take their first steps into a career in law.
Through our ongoing collaboration with the Oxford Brookes Law School, we’ve developed a mentorship programme that supports students in developing practical legal skills and deepening their understanding of the realities of the profession, beyond the classroom. This includes access to:
- Workshops & lectures such as CV writing workshops
- One-to-one mentoring
- A mock trainee assessment morning designed to mirror the SE-Solicitors assessment day experience
Through this initiative we have seen real progress in areas such as commercial awareness, with students becoming more confident in understanding both the legal profession and the wider business environment.
Our commitment to supporting future legal talent is further strengthened through the involvement of our Head of Family and Managing Director, Patrick Mulcare, who sits on the Oxford Brookes University Law Faculty Advisory Board. Through this role, Patrick helps shape the curriculum and contributes to initiatives designed to give students a realistic understanding of the profession, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, insight and confidence needed to thrive as the next generation of lawyers.
