Strategic Growth & Opening New Markets: Reflections from Insider Magazine’s Roundtable

December 1st 2025

Opportunities for growth are everywhere, but turning them into reality takes vision and collaboration. That’s why I was delighted to host and attend the Insider Magazine Strategic Growth and New Markets Roundtable at our new Oxford office. The event brought together senior business leaders from across the South East to share perspectives on how companies can achieve sustainable growth in today’s competitive environment.

Unlocking Long-Term Growth

The conversation highlighted the importance of agility and collaboration in unlocking long-term value. From exploring new markets and funding opportunities to strengthening leadership teams and embracing innovation, it was clear that businesses are thinking strategically about how to adapt and thrive. Technology and AI were also part of the discussion, with many agreeing that while these tools offer exciting possibilities, success still depends on strong leadership and clear vision.

Legal Considerations for Entering New Markets

From a legal perspective, these themes resonate strongly. Entering new markets often involves entering joint ventures with other businesses and structuring agreements that protect your interests. Securing funding requires clarity around governance and investor rights, while building leadership teams can raise questions around bringing people in as shareholders and long-term retention strategies. These are areas where strategic legal advice can make a real difference – helping businesses move quickly while managing risk effectively.

Looking Ahead

What stood out most was the shared commitment to growth across the region. These conversations are vital for shaping the future of business, and it was fantastic to see such insightful discussion and collaboration on business growth in the South East.
