For couples who wish to separate amicably, and fairly resolve their financial arrangements, this service could be for you.
Unique to SE-Solicitors, Separate Together allows couples to use one legal team consisting of a skilled Lawyer Mediator and a highly experienced Barrister.
Separate Together can help reduce fees, and reduce issues associated with traditional proceedings. Michael George, a personable Consultant Barrister with 30 years’ legal experience is able to provide a sharp focus evaluation and a neutral preliminary view of the likely outcome in court. Together, our experienced legal team empowers a separating couple to reach an agreement amicably.

How does Separate Together work?
Benefits of Separate Together
You pay for one legal team rather than two separate ones. By working together, you can avoid the costs of going to Court.
In a traditional divorce, dissolution or separation process, lawyers represent and act for an individual, which risks putting the couple in conflict. This can leave the couple in a confrontational position.
You both receive the same information at the same time from a successful combination of a skilled neutral Meditator and an experienced Barrister. This can lead to a swift resolution without the need to go to Court.
You can involve other professionals in the Separate Together process, such as financial advisers and pension experts.
How much does Separate Together cost?
Any costs incurred outside the Separate Together process will be quoted for separately.

With mediation, the mediator acts as a neutral, impartial third party and provides legal information to allow you and your former partner to make the decisions. The mediator cannot provide advice. If an outcome is reached, you will then need to take the outcome documents to a solicitor to be placed into a legally binding document.
