Top Tier Legal 500 Rankings for SE-Solicitors

We are celebrating another successful year, retaining our top tier ranking in the 2024 edition of the UK’s leading guide to the best law firms and lawyers, The Legal 500. 

Nine of our firm’s specialist practice areas and seventeen of our solicitors have been recognised by the guide with one of our lawyers named in the ‘Hall of Fame’, one as a ‘Leading Individual’ and two as ‘Rising Stars’. 

Tier 1

Our Debt Recovery team retained the highest top tier ranking for another year. The Debt Recovery department works with a large portfolio of regional, national, and international clients to recover commercial, consumer and international debt.  The Legal 500 described this high-ranking team as delivering ‘a first-class service’ and accurately reflects the high-quality expertise our team provides and brings a great sense of achievement to our firm.

Our Private Client Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate received a Tier 2 ranking with Employment, Agriculture and Estates, Contentious Trusts and Probate, Family, Commercial Property being ranked at Tier 3 and Corporate and Commercial, Dispute Resolutions, Insolvency and Corporate Recovery receiving a Tier 4 placement.

Leading Lawyers 

The Legal 500 gives special recognition to several SE Solicitors, including David Endicott, our widely regarded Private Client legal expert who has been inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame for another year. This title highlights top lawyers who have received constant praise by their clients for continued excellence.  In addition, Lucy Gordon, Director, and Head of Private Client retained her standing as an ‘Leading individual’. With particular expertise in navigating the complexities of family wealth, Lucy advises landowners, farmers, families, trustees and family offices in all aspects of estate planning. The Legal 500 comments ‘Lucy Gordon is a standout and runs a good team. You get niche expert advice without incurring London prices. All work is done efficiently and with a realistic commercial feel.’

The title of ‘Rising Stars’ were awarded to Catherine O’Riordan, Senior Associate Solicitor advising SME and Corporate businesses plus Tom McInerney, Senior Associate Solicitor who advises clients on Wills, Trusts, Personal Taxation, Power of Attorney and Administration of Estates. 

In total, The Legal 500 commended seventeen of our talented lawyers, reflecting our standing as a leading law firm in the heart of England.
