The meeting started on Thursday, 9 November with a very traditional English meal at “The Head of the River”, restaurant and pub in Oxford. During the evening, fellow Spratt Endicott team members took the opportunity to meet with delegates.
A formal board meeting took place on the Friday morning at Spratt Endicott’s offices. At the meeting, the introduction of further members was discussed and amending the organisation’s articles of association to reflect that it had grown from a European organisations to one which has members all over the world. After the board meeting, Spratt Endicott directors and associates joined the delegates for a buffet lunch.
Delegates spent the Friday afternoon visiting one of Oxfordshire’s most treasured landmark, Blenheim Palace, before returning to Banbury for drinks, canapés and dinner at Spratt Endicott’s Chairman, John’s Spratt’s house. The delegates were once again joined by some of Spratt Endicott’s Directors and Associates and were even treated to a piano recital by Associate Catherine O’Riordan.
The annual meeting concluded with a walking tour of Oxford on Saturday morning with Oxford native, Patrick Mulcare, Director of Spratt Endicott’s family team, acting as tour guide. Patrick showed the delegates around the city of Oxford as they took in all the sights, including The Christ Church College and The Bodleian Library.
Monika Kobylinska, the Managing Director of Law Link said; “We would like to thank John for a great experience and his hospitality. In addition, we would like to thank Petra for her efforts in organising the conference on such a professional level.”
The next annual meeting is set to take place in Budapest in June 2018.
