Jonathan Craft

Jonathan is a Senior Associate in the Banking and Finance Team based in the Oxford Office advising on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious matters arising from Banking and Finance agreements. He acts for a range of clients including national asset finance providers, invoice finance and asset-based lenders.

Jonathan began his career at a City of London law firm, where he qualified as a solicitor and specialised in both contentious and non-contentious banking and finance matters. He subsequently moved in-house, gaining 15 years of extensive experience within the asset-based lending industry.

This background has provided Jonathan with the specialist knowledge and commercial insight needed to advise lenders on the structuring and restructuring of finance facilities, particularly in relation to taking security over a wide range of asset classes.

He also has significant expertise in advising lenders on the enforcement of lending agreements when matters unfortunately become contentious.

Jonathan joined SE Solicitors in 2026, bringing a wealth of sector-specific knowledge and practical experience to the Banking and Finance team. His unique combination of private practice and in house experience enables him to deliver commercially focused, pragmatic advice tailored to the needs of lenders and finance providers.

When not at his desk, Jonathan enjoys cycling and SCUBA diving.
