SE-Solicitors Top 12 Highlights of 2025

January 9th 2026

Here at SE-Solicitors, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a year defined by growth, collaboration and shared success. From exciting new openings and award wins to community partnerships and firm-wide celebrations, here are 12 standout moments that shaped SE-Solicitors in 2025.

1. A New Chapter: Opening Our Oxford Office

In September 2025, we proudly opened our Oxford office in Summertown, a milestone that marks a significant and successful expansion of our footprint across Oxfordshire.

The launch has already strengthened our presence in one of the UK’s most innovative cities, allowing us to deliver the trusted SE‑Solicitors expertise to even more clients. Our Oxford team is now firmly established, supporting individuals and businesses with clarity, confidence and continuity as we continue to grow.

A month after the opening, we hosted our first business event at our Oxford office, an invitation-only Strategic Growth Round Table in partnership with Insider Media. Led with support from our Commercial Law team, the discussion brought together senior business leaders in the region to explore growth funding, entering new markets, building strong leadership teams and unlocking long-term value. The event marked a strong start for our Oxford office as a hub for strategic conversation, collaboration and insight within the regional business community.

2. Award-Winning Private Client & Conveyancing Teams

2025 was a standout year for recognition across our Private Client and Residential Property services.

Our Private Client team received two Highly Commended awards at the British Wills & Probate Awards 2025:

  • Tax and Trust Team of the Year

  • Probate Provider of the Year (South)

Meanwhile, our Conveyancing team achieved Highly Commended – Conveyancing Firm of the Year (South) at the British Conveyancing Awards.

These awards reflect the expertise, consistency and client-focused approach delivered by both teams throughout the year.

3. Legal 500 2026 Recognition

We were once again recognised in The Legal 500 UK 2026 rankings, across nine practice areas.

We retained our Top Tier ranking for Debt Recovery, achieved Tier 2 recognition for Family and Private Client, and celebrated a record 24 individually recommended lawyers, our highest number to date.

Special congratulations to Richard Gwynne, Lucy Gordon and David Endicott for their individual honours, including David’s continued Hall of Fame recognition.

4. Welcoming Five New Babies to the Firm

This year brought some very special news as we celebrated five new baby arrivals across the firm.

The new additions included three from Commercial Property, one from Debt Recovery and one from Residential Property – with two of the Commercial Property babies even arriving on the same day, making it an especially memorable moment.

Welcoming new babies is always a joy, and it was wonderful to share these milestones with colleagues and their families across the firm.

5. Sponsoring the Cotswold Cup & Supporting Our Competition‑Winning Rider

We were proud sponsors of the unaffiliated eventing series, the Cotswold Cup, for the third consecutive year in 2025, and were delighted to support our Vlog Competition winner throughout the season. Her videos captured everything from training days to key competition moments, offering an authentic insight into the season. Her enthusiasm and professionalism made her a fantastic ambassador for our sponsorship.

6. Launch of Separate Together®

The year also saw the introduction of Separate Together®, a new legal service designed for unmarried couples who want a more constructive approach to separation.

By combining the expertise of a Lawyer Mediator and a Consultant Barrister, the service supports couples in reaching fair agreements on finances, property and children, all without the need for traditional court proceedings.

7. Towering Dreams at Compton Verney

We were privileged to deepen our connection with the Compton Verney community through our sponsorship of Towering Dreams: Extraordinary Architectural Drawings.

The exhibition showcased visionary architectural design at its finest, and we were especially proud to see Compton Verney named a finalist for Art Fund Museum of the Year 2025 – a testament to its cultural impact, creativity and continued excellence.

8. Banbury Rugby Club Sponsorship

In 2025, we marked 10 consecutive years of sponsoring Banbury Rugby Club, a partnership rooted in shared values of teamwork, commitment and community.

As part of our long-standing support, we’re proud to stand behind the club both on and off the pitch. As we have previously shared, “Supporting and engaging with our local community isn’t just a responsibility, it’s a privilege. This partnership also mirrors our firm’s competitive spirit and commitment to excellence.” – Patrick Mulcare, Managing Director of SE-Solicitors.

9. Podcasts & External Collaborations

Our podcast series continued to expand in 2025, featuring insightful conversations with both internal experts and external guests. This included a podcast called

Bridging the Gap – Law, Learning & Local Impact in collaboration with Oxford Brookes University, as well as episodes exploring specialist areas such as forged signatures, delivered by our Finance Disputes team, and Divorce Together, giving listeners a deeper understanding of the expertise behind these services. 10. Dogs for Good Fundraising

Giving back remained a key focus, and this year we were proud to support Dogs for Good, our Charity of the Year as voted for by staff. Fundraising efforts included our much‑loved Pet Halloween Costume Contest, which once again brought plenty of creativity and fun.

Thanks to the generosity of colleagues and supporters, we raised £450! Bringing us to a total of £980.30 for a charity that makes a genuine and lasting difference. (see our Instagram post here)

11. Historic Houses Membership

In 2025, SE‑Solicitors became corporate members of Historic Houses in the Thames and Chilterns region, strengthening our work with heritage property owners. The membership enables closer collaboration with estates across the region and supports our specialist advice on land, trusts and long‑term estate strategy. It also reflects our continued commitment to heritage, landowners and historic estates, closely aligned with our Private Client and Agricultural expertise. Read more here

12. Summer Fest & Social Committee

Our Social Committee delivered a hugely successful Summer Fest, bringing colleagues together for an afternoon of activities, great food and fantastic energy. The event reflected our values in action – Always Human in the way we connect as people and Truly Collaborative through shared experiences across teams which created a memorable day for all.

From tug‑of‑war challenges to relaxed social time, Summer Fest highlighted the culture, camaraderie and community spirit that continue to shape SE‑Solicitors (see post here).

Conclusion

As we look ahead, these moments reflect more than just milestones, they capture the people, partnerships and shared values that continue to define SE-Solicitors. Thank you to our clients, colleagues and community for being part of our journey. We’re excited to build on this momentum and see what the this year brings.
